Our work on ITER has begun. We are now in the starting phase where we are applying our Cocoon foils to the lower cylinder of the ITER cryostat<\/strong><\/p>\n This is but one section of a so-called giant Thermos that will envelop the ITER Tokamak. Standing 12 metres high, it represents one-third of the total height of the ITER<\/a><\/strong> machine. Once we got to work on it the sheer enormity of the construction is clearly felt. It was no job for the faint of heart as it was an assignment that involved much calculation, planning, insight, teamwork, and working at height.<\/p>\n The first phase is to apply our proprietary Cocoon foils around the cryostat before spraying the Cocoon \u201cskin\u201d. This synthetic skin that is formed seals the lower cylinder hermetically and protects it from weather, moisture and dust.
